Equipment

  • Air Fryer or pot for boiling

Ingredients

  • 12 eggs
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 24 pickled jalapeños

Instructions

  • Cook Hard (not) Boiled Eggs*: Preheat air fryer for 3-5 minutes at 275-degrees. Add 12 eggs to air fryer and cook for 15 minutes. Place eggs into an ice bath for 10-15 minutes. Drain water and shake eggs in bowl with lid to crack the shell for easy peel. Peel eggs under running water.
  • Dehydrate Egg Toppers: Add 24 pickled jalapeño slices to the air fryer and cook for 15 minutes on 250 (or until dehydrated)
  • Make Deviled Eggs: Cut eggs in half longways (keep the egg white halves).  Extract the yolks into a separate bowl. Break yolks into a fine mixture with a fork. Add Mayo, Mustard, Apple Cider Vinegar while mixing. Once mixture is combined, add to a plastic zip-log bag and cut 1 of the corners of the bag off to create a piping bag. Slowly squeeze the mixture from the piping bag into each halved egg white. Dust the eggs with Paprika. Top each egg with 1 slice dehydrated pickled jalapeño.

Notes

  • No air fryer? No problem. Just hard-boil your eggs the traditional way and follow the same filling instructions.
  • Peeling tip: The ice bath and gentle bowl-shake method make peeling almost effortless.
  • Spice it up: For a bolder flavor, mix a touch of hot sauce or cayenne into your yolk mixture.
