Inspired by my favorite sandwich from Newk’s — but with a juicy summer twist. This White Barbecue Chicken Peach Pizza starts with a tangy white barbecue sauce, layered with an herby cheese blend, grilled chicken, peaches, and crispy bacon. Once it’s fresh out of the oven, it’s finished with peppery arugula and a drizzle of honey. The result? A perfect balance of savory and sweet, especially when peaches are in season.

The Ingredients

The Dough

My husband was sent a pizza dough kit from Dellallo foods, which was super simple to use (and what we used here). You can easily swap in any homemade or store-bought dough — Trader Joe’s premade dough is one of my personal go-tos. Nothing fancy needed; a simple base is perfect.

The Sauce

This pizza starts with a white barbecue sauce. My favorite pre-made brand is LilliesQ, but if you can’t find it, you can make a quick version by stirring a splash of white vinegar and a pinch of cayenne into Alfredo sauce.

The Cheese

For the ultimate flavor, mix your cheeses with fresh herbs and garlic. I like using a blend of Parmesan, Mozzarella, and Monterey Jack, then adding parsley, thyme, and a bit of garlic for a fragrant, melty topping.

The Chicken

Leftover grilled chicken works perfectly, but a rotisserie chicken also does the trick. For freshly grilled options, try my grilled chicken recipes:

The Other Toppings

Grilling the peach slices brings out their natural sweetness, though it’s optional. Add peaches and chopped bacon before baking, then finish with fresh arugula and honey once the pizza is done.

The Method

This is hands down the best pizza we’ve made since getting our Ooni pizza oven — though it bakes beautifully in a regular oven too. The Dellallo dough worked great for us, but you can use any basic pizza dough that you love.

Serving and Pairings

Slice up the warm pizza into square pieces to grab, and serve immediately. Like any good pizza, we paired it with a beer. We did a peach beer from Weldwerks. but they have rotating beer options and are a Colorado brewery, so likely not everywhere.  However, they do have the most unique beers (I found them trying a Spaghetti and Meatball beer) and highly recommend looking them up if you have never heard of them.
